The feedthrough (10) has a conductor i.e. metal pin (17), which is arranged at a base body (13) in a material e.g. insulating or sealing material (19), where the base body comprises a thin component (20) and a stabilization component (30). The thin- and stabilization components are firmly bonded with each other by press connection or solder connection. A through hole (15) is formed in the stabilization component. The thin component is designed as a curved plate-shaped component such as curved stainless steel plate. The insulating material is selected from plastic. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a feedthrough.
