PURPOSE: A water retention ceramics packing material and a manufacturing method thereof using waste to reduce material cost are provided to reduce the time and cost of ceramics plasticity. CONSTITUTION: A water retention ceramics packing material is a sintering body of plastic feedstock composition. The plastic feedstock composition comprises silicate coarse particles of waste originated from the waste as aggregate, clay or a glassiness control agent and fuel. In the mass ratio range of the solid portion of plasticity feedstock composition, the silicate coarse particle originated from the waste as aggregate is included 40% or more and 50% or less. The cokes powder is included 5% or more and 10% or less. The cokes powder is cupola dust or coal dust. A manufacturing method of water retention ceramic packing material comprises the following steps: compression-molding the plastic feedstock composition; and sintering the plastic feedstock composition at 1000 deg. Celsius or higher and 1100 deg. Celsius or less.
