<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform precise detection by removing erroneous detections caused by variation in sunshine. <P>SOLUTION: An i-th original image P(i) constituting a moving image is stored in a storage section 120. An average image creation section 130 determines a weighted average of an (i-1)-th average image A(i-1) in a storage section 140 and the original image P(i) and stores it as an average image A(i) in the storage section 140. A reference image creation section 135 updates a reference image U(i-1) in a storage section 145 to U(i). An image comparing section compares the image P(i) with the image A(i-1) and compares the image P(i) with the image U(i-1) for each pixel. Pixels which are determined to be dissimilar are determined to be foreground pixels (J=0), and the other pixels are determined to be background pixels (J=1) so as to create a mask image M. The reference image creation section 135 dose not update the foreground section, and updates the background section with the weighted average with respect to the average image A(i-1) to create a reference image U(i). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
