<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To calculate a Mahalanobis distance with high reliability by acquiring an inverse matrix of a correlation matrix conforming to a test object. <P>SOLUTION: When obtaining an appropriate range of an eigenvalue threshold for determining an eigenvalue number to be used for calculating a Mahalanobis distance, among a plurality of eigenvalues acquired by eigenvalue decomposition, for an inverse matrix of a correlation matrix to be used for Mahalanobis distance calculation, a soundness evaluation device 10 obtains a candidate threshold of an eigenvalue minimizing an information amount criterion value per row for a unit space data matrix for defining a unit space and a matrix of comparison data which is data acquired from a transmission to be subjected to soundness evaluation and which is determined to fall under the unit space, respectively, and based on a distribution of the candidate threshold, the soundness evaluation device 10 obtains the appropriate range of the eigenvalue threshold in which the comparison data is determined to fall under the unit space. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
