PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat exchanger assembly with a mechanism for registration of fins.

SOLUTION: The heat exchanger includes a core having a plurality of layers and a plurality of sealing bars. The layers are stacked in a stack and also include a first layer separated from adjacent layers by a first partition plate and a second partition plate. The fins are disposed between the first and second partition plates and also form one or more tabs. The sealing bar is connected to the fins and also accommodates one or more tabs inside the one or more slots thereof.
