<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for processing an inner circumferential surface of a cylinder bore that can improve the circularity of an inner circumferential surface of a cylinder bore while a cylinder head is fixedly assembled, even for a cylinder block with a plating film on an inner circumferential surface of a cylinder bore. <P>SOLUTION: The method for processing an inner circumferential surface of a cylinder bore includes: a material preparation step S1 of preparing the cylinder block with the cylinder-bore inner circumferential surface partitioning the cylinder bore; a dummy head assembling step S3 of assembling a dummy head for simulating the cylinder head to the cylinder block; a boring step S4 of processing a boring of the cylinder-bore inner circumferential surface while the dummy head is assembled to the cylinder block; a plating step S6 of plating the cylinder-bore inner circumferential surface after the boring to form the plating film thereon; a horning step S8 of processing a horning to the cylinder-bore inner circumferential surface so that a cross-sectional shape of the cylinder bore is formed in a substantially perfect circle shape; and a dummy head disassembling step S9 of disassembling the dummy head from the cylinder block after the horning. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
