<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-emitting element which can be easily fabricated on a semiconductor substrate and emits light with higher luminance, particularly in a blue-green (about 450-550 nm) short-wavelength region. <P>SOLUTION: The light-emitting element of the present invention comprises a first electrode made of a semiconductor containing impurities, a translucent second electrode, and a dielectric layer sandwiched between the first and second electrodes and is characterized in that: the first electrode contains ion-implanted atoms; and the atoms have a concentration peak at a position in the first electrode, the position being at a distance of 500 nm or less from an interface between the dielectric layer and the first electrode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
