摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently irradiate a document with light from an LED light source from a different direction. <P>SOLUTION: Emission light 120 from an LED 12 is made incident from an incident surface 321 of a flat light guide member 32, and a first emission surface 322 is formed by tilting the opposite surface of the incident surface 321. The first emission surface 322 emits the emission light 120 incident on the light guide member 32 as direct irradiation light A to irradiate a read object region 101 of a document. The first emission surface 322 reflects part of the emission light 120 incident on the light guide member 32 to emit reflected indirect irradiation light B from a second emission surface region 323 provided on a reverse-side surface 32b, and the reflected indirect irradiation light is further changed in angle by a reflecting plate 13 to irradiate the read object region of the document from a direction different from the direct irradiation light A. The direct irradiation light A and the reflected indirect irradiation light B are emitted from the light guide member 32 while separated from each other in different directions. Thereby, the quantity of light which does not contribute to irradiation of a boundary between the direct irradiation light A and the reflected indirect irradiation light B and the outside read object region of the document is suppressed, and efficient illumination light of the emission light A and reflected light B differing in direction for a document 10 can be achieved. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
