<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suspension system of a vehicle so as to prevent deformation of a vehicle body from becoming large on frontal collision of the vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: Lower arms 18, which are pivotally supported on the vehicle body 2 and support wheels 3 at the rocking end portions, are provided. Each of the lower arms 18 has an arm base part 26, which is extended in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle body 2 and pivotally supported elastically on the vehicle body 2 by front pivoting tool 22 and rear pivoting tool 23, and an arm body 27, which is integrally extended from the arm base part 26 toward outside the vehicle body 2 to support the support wheels 3 at the end parts of the extension. A deformation promoting portion 46 is formed that promotes the deformation of each of the lower arms 18 when an impact force F is given to each of the support wheels 3 from the front side. The deformation promoting portion 46 is formed at a portion 26a of the arm base part 26 between the rear pivoting tool 23 and the base part of the arm body 27 in the longitudinal direction. The deformation promoting portion 46 is formed in such a way as to be extended toward inside the vehicle body 2 as it goes to the front of the vehicle body 2 so that the portion 26a of the arm base part 26 is buckling-deformed by the impact force F in the width direction in the plan view of the vehicle 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
