<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an environmental-friendly and energy-saving reciprocating cutting tool with a reduced power supply amount having superior workability and favorable efficiency by including a guide by slit-shaped lights to enable a blade to cut on a marking line when light and the marking line are aligned in a straight line. <P>SOLUTION: A generator 12 is disposed so that a portion of a plunger 7 that is magnetized can reciprocate in a coil incorporated in the generator. The generator 12 and a light 10 are wired by a lead wire 14, a conversion circuit 11 for converting an alternating current to a direct current is provided in the middle of the wiring, slits are formed at an upper part of a cutting line at an upper part of the housing 1 and at an upper part of a cutting line in front of the housing.
