A fuel cell system comprises: a hydrogen generation unit which generates a hydrogen-containing gas, using a fuel containing a hydrogen-containing fuel; a cell stack which carries out power generation using the gas containing hydrogen; a supplied quantity acquisition unit which acquires the supplied quantity of the fuel which is supplied to the hydrogen generation unit; a detection unit which detects either oxygen or nitrogen in the fuel upstream of the hydrogen generation unit; a correction unit which corrects errors included in the values from the supplied quantity acquisition unit and acquires the supplied quantity of the fuel including air, on the basis of the detection result by the detection unit; and a computation unit which computes the quantity of air included in the fuel on the basis of the detection result by the detection unit. |
