Pressing arrangement for a lid, preferably in a laboratory thermostat, comprises at least: one first part for exerting an excitation force; one second part, preferably a plate element, which is arranged in at least one target position for exerting a pressing force; and one transmission device arranged on the second part for transmitting power from the first part, comprising a transmission part, which is driven by the first part and drives the second part, and at least one elastic tension element for driving the transmission part, which is driven by the first part for alternating the tension. Pressing arrangement for a lid, preferably in a laboratory thermostat, comprises at least: one first part for exerting an excitation force; one second part, preferably a plate element, which is arranged in at least one target position for exerting a pressing force; and one transmission device arranged on the second part for transmitting power from the first part, comprising a transmission part, which is driven by the first part and drives the second part, and at least one elastic tension element for driving the transmission part, which is driven by the first part for alternating the tension. The transmission part adjusts the pressing force (Fz) depending on the target position. Independent claims are also included for: (1) a lid of a laboratory device, preferably a thermocycler, for pressing the second part, preferably plate element, on a sample region of the laboratory device to be covered, comprising the above pressing arrangement; (2) the laboratory device, preferably thermocycler comprising the pressing arrangement or the above lid; and (3) pressing a part, preferably the plate element against a target region, preferably sample region, by the pressing arrangement, comprising transferring the second part to a target position, exerting a force by exciting the first part, transmitting the force from the first part to the second part using the transmission device, for exerting a pressing force using the second part, driving the transmission part by the first part and driving the second part by the transmission part, changing the tension of the tension element by driving the first part, driving the transmission part by the tension element, and applying the pressing force (Fz) depending on the target position of the second part.
