PURPOSE: A top-down construction method of a basement is provided to prevent environmental contamination and the waste of resources caused by the new construction of a structure by constructing a basement on an existing structure. CONSTITUTION: A top-down construction method of a basement is as follows. A support unit is installed between a bearing part of an existing structure(10) and the ground(30) and supports and reinforces the existing structure. When the existing structure is supported to the ground through the support unit, a lowermost layer foundation and a floor slab of the existing structure are removed, and concrete is re-placed thereon. A space is formed by excavating the bottom of the existing structure. A basement is formed by placing concrete in the excavated portion. |
