<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lightweight solar cell blanket having high folding degree of freedom and deployable in outer space, and to provide a solar cell paddle having the solar cell blanket and a deploying mechanism. <P>SOLUTION: The solar cell blanket 2 is partly fitted to a plane deploying mechanism with a rhombic shape as a basic structure, and folded in a substantially isosceles-triangular shape according to the expansion/contraction operation. In addition, a solar cell of the solar cell blanket 2 is arranged in a substantially symmetric manner to a fold of the solar cell blanket, and the entire solar cell blanket is constituted with the arrangement as one unit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
