<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus in which image quality degradation such as glossiness degradation is not caused in an image fixed by a fixing device using a pressing part brought into contact with a heating part in a fixing operation with the pressing part disposed away from the heating part when a fixing operation is not performed. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus comprises a control part that makes a pressing part bring into contact with and go away from a heating part a plurality of times before performing a fixing operation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
