<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a worm gear that prevents omission of meshing of gears due to deflection of a worm, and facilitates manufacture from resin. <P>SOLUTION: In a worm gear device 2 having a worm wheel 18, a resin worm 16 meshing with the worm wheel, and a bearing member 24 for rotatably supporting the worm, the bearing member includes: a base end support part 40 formed from a resin material and supporting a base end shaft part 22 of the worm; a head support part 38 for supporting a head shaft part 36 of the worm; and a restricting wall 42 which integrally connects the base end support part and the head support part, and is arranged on an opposite side for the worm wheel meshed with the worm with a predetermined clearance t provided between it and an addendum circle r1 formed by the worm. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
