[Problem] The present invention addresses the problem of providing a verification device for the dispensing of pharmaceuticals. This device is capable of easily verifying the filling of prescriptions at a later date without using RFID tags. [Solution] A verification device for the dispensing of pharmaceuticals is provided with: a camera (1) that captures images of a counter (2) where work is performed; an image management server (4) that stores images captured by the camera (1); a determination means that determines whether or not a mark (21) on the counter (2) is covered with a prescription (6); a timer that outputs time information; a writing control means that controls the writing of images to the image management server (4) in response to the output of the determination means; a display device (51) that displays the images stored in the image management server (4); and a readout control means whereby written images are retrieved, read out from the image management server (4), and output to the display device. When it is confirmed by the determination means that the mark (21) is covered with a prescription, the writing control means associates the images captured by the camera (1) with the time information from the timer and writes the images as a still picture to the image management server (4). Moving image information is written to the image management server (4) until the mark (21) is detected.
