The method involves providing the lighting zones (60a-60d) corresponding to positions of background lighting units, and a control unit. The different illumination times of the background illumination units are controlled by the control unit. The control unit is activated in operating state based on input signal produced by pressing the keys (20) of keyboard. The control signal is provided to background lighting units within illumination time, so as to produce the lighting in the illumination zones asynchronously.
