The evaporator (20) has multiple steam generator pipes (23) arranged upstream of an inlet header (24). Each steam generator pipe comprises constricted local cross-sections (29, 30) at an inlet. A throttle (28) is arranged in the constricted local cross-sections of the steam generator pipe. A nipple is arranged between the inlet header and the steam generator pipe. Inner diameter of the nipple and external diameter of the inlet header are less than inner diameter of the steam generator pipes.
