The resistor (100) has a thick-film (102) arranged between two contact members (112, 114) that are arranged in a transverse direction. A contact (104) is formed by the contact members at an outer side of the thick-film in a set of contact regions (134, 138) in electrical contact with one another. Another contact (106) is formed by the contact members that are in electrical contact with one another at the outer side of the thick-film in another set of contact regions (136, 140), where thickness of the thick-film between the contacts is 100 micrometer. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a pulse resistor and/or circuit board for an electrical or electronic device.
