<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotating shaft supporting structure for a transmission, adapted to reduce the size and to simplify the structure. <P>SOLUTION: The rotating shaft supporting structure for the transmission 1 includes an input shaft 6 which is pivotally supported by a casing 5 and to which rotation is transmitted from the side of an engine, an output shaft 7 arranged to be coaxial with the input shaft 6, an intermediate shaft 8 provided in parallel to the input shaft 6 and the output shaft 7, and a gear train 9 for selectively connecting the input shaft 6 to the intermediate shaft 8 or connecting the intermediate shaft 8 to the output shaft 7, the input shaft 6, the output shaft 7 or the intermediate shaft 8 having an cylindrical external shaft 12 pivotally supported by the casing 5 and an internal shaft 11 arranged in the external shaft 12. On the outer periphery of the internal shaft 11, a bearing 13 constituted of a ball bearing is provided, and a locking part 19 is provided for locking the bearing 13 in the axial direction.
