A brake pad (outer pad (58)) is provided with: a pressure plate (60) provided with a pair of supporting through-hole parts (66a and 66b) into which a pair of slide pins are inserted; and a friction member. The relationship between the separation (P1) between the centers of the through-hole parts (66a and 66b) and the separation (P2) between the centers of the slide pins satisfies either P1 2 or P1 > P2. Each of the through-hole parts has an open part (69c) that is located at a point radially outwards of a rotor (100), at least, and comprises: a first retention part (69a) that is subject to torque due to a moment that arises during braking; and a second retention part (69b).
