<p>A backlight device (24) pertaining to this invention comprises: a light guide plate (20) having an incident light surface (20a) disposed on one side thereof, an opposite side surface (20d) on the opposite side to the incident light surface (20a), a light-emitting surface (20b) disposed on one plate surface, and an opposite plate surface (20c) on the opposite side to the light-emitting surface (20b); an LED light source (28) arranged facing the incident light surface (20a) of the light guide plate (20); a reflective sheet (26) arranged on the opposite plate surface (20d) side of the light guide plate (20) and having an extension section (26b) that extends from the opposite side surface (20d) side of the light guide plate (20); and a chassis (22) having a bottom plate (22a) and side plates (22b, 22c) that rise from the surface side of the bottom plate (22a). Part of the extension section (26b) of the reflective sheet (26) extends in the direction that the side plates (22b, 22c) rise and is interposed between the side plate (22c) and the opposite side surface (20d).</p> |
