PURPOSE: A DC motor control apparatus and method are provided to drive a DC motor at the maximum output by setting the driving speed control voltage of the DC motor over the peak voltage of triangular wave. CONSTITUTION: A driving voltage generating unit(102) charges a driving voltage. A triangular wave generating unit(108) generates a triangular wave for controlling the output of a DC motor. A speed setting unit(104) sets the rotating speed of the DC motor. A PWM signal generating unit(105) generates a PWM signal. A driving signal generating unit for a DC motor power supply switching element driving unit outputs a driving signal for a DC motor power supply switching element driving unit. A DC motor power supply switching element driving unit outputs a driving signal for a DC motor power supply switching element. A DC motor power supply switching element unit comprises DC motor power supply switching elements.
