DIFFERENTIAL SIGNAL CONNECTOR CAPABLE OF REDUCING SKEW BETWEEN A DIFFERENTIAL SIGNAL PAIR

A connector includes a plurality of contacts held in an insulating housing. The connector has a first connection side for connection to a connection partner and a second connection inside for connection to a board. The contacts include connector contact portions on the first connection side for contacting the connection partner and board connection portions on the second connection side for connecting the board. The contacts are divided and include two ground contacts, a firs pair, a second pair and third pair. The connector contact portions on the first connection side are arranged at a line in a first direction in order of the contacts the first pair, one of the ground contacts, the contacts of the second pair, another one of the ground contacts, and the contacts of the third pair. On the second connection side, the board connection portions of the ground contacts are arranged in a first row, the board connection portions of the contacts of the first and the third pairs are arranged in a second row which is different from the first row in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction, and the board connection portions of the contacts of the second pair are arranged in a third row which is spaced farther from the second row than the first row. This provides improved ease of connection.
