PRINTING SYSTEM AND PRINTER

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To securely inform a user of whether a printer is registered in a cloud computing system such that the body of electronic mail or an attached file can be printed by sending the electronic mail to the printer.

SOLUTION: A printing system includes a server and a plurality of printers. The server includes registration request reception means of receiving a registration request by using HTTP; and registration means of allocating XMPP connection information for connection with a transmission source of the registration request by using XMPP and an electronic mail address for receiving a printing request to the transmission source of the registration request at the registration request. Further, a printer includes: registration request means of transmitting the registration request including identification information on the printer and the XMPP connection information to the server; and registration notification means of printing or displaying whether the connection with the server and registration to the server can be completed based upon the information received from the registration information transmission means and XMPP connection means.
