<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an incident where an amount of defocus cannot be obtained even in a case that pixel signals output from respective imaging pixels are added and read out from the imaging element when a part of the plurality of imaging pixels provided in the imaging element are used as a pair of focus detection imaging pixels. <P>SOLUTION: When the number of pixel signals necessary for generating an original image is changed, a pixel signal obtained by adding pixel signals respectively output from a plurality of imaging pixels 17, and a pair of pixel signals each obtained by adding pixel signals output from focus detection imaging pixels (21), (25), (41), and (45), and obtained by adding pixel signals output from focus detection imaging pixels (23), (27), (43), and (47) are used to obtain the original image, and an amount of defocus is obtained from the pair of pixel signals. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
