<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic resonance imaging apparatus acquiring temperature distribution image data in a short scan time. <P>SOLUTION: Scan A has a metabolite sequence that performs phase encoding, for acquiring a metabolite spectrum in each voxel of an interested area. On the other hand, scan B<SB POS="POST">1</SB>has a metabolite sequence that applies no gradient magnetic field for the phase encoding, for acquiring a metabolite spectrum to the whole area of the interested area. A resonance frequency f<SB POS="POST">M0</SB>of a metabolite to the whole area of the interested area in the scan A, and a resonance frequency f<SB POS="POST">M1</SB>of the metabolite to the whole area of the interested area in the scan B<SB POS="POST">1</SB>are obtained. The temperature distribution image data of the interested area in the scan B<SB POS="POST">1</SB>are created based on the value of f<SB POS="POST">M1</SB>-f<SB POS="POST">M0</SB>. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
