<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a press in which the vertical motion of a ram is performed by rotating a nut member and a screw member respectively and the vertical motion of the ram is smoothly performed. <P>SOLUTION: In this press which includes an engaging part 51 which is engaged with the tip of the screw member 19 relatively rotatably and also includes a ram 17 which is movable in the moving direction of the screw member 19 integrally with the engaging part 51, a contact face which can be brought into contact with the tip face of the screw member 19 is provided in the engaging part 51 and an elastic member 73 is provided for holding the tip face and the contact face in the separated state where they are separated in an ordinary state and for permitting the contact of the tip face with the contact face only when load acts on the ram 17 between the tip face of the screw member 19 and the contact face of the engaging part 51. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
