<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mold-release polyester film for a polarizing plate which easily detects troubles in an inspection, and limits a peeling speed dependency to the minimum when used in a touch panel, a liquid crystal deflector, a retardation plate and the like, and is excellent in inspection property for polarization with a characteristic reducing process contamination and foreign matter into the adhesive. <P>SOLUTION: A mold-release polyester film for a polarizing plate includes: a coating layer obtained by coating on one side of the polyester film with a coating liquid containing polyvinyl alcohol; and a mold-release layer on the coating layer containing a silicone resin having an alkenyl group and an alkyl group as functional groups, a low molecular weight silicone compound with molecular weight of 1000 or less, and a platinum-based catalyst. The mold-release layer has a low speed peeling force at a speed zone of 300 mm/minute within a range of 10 to 20 mN/cm, and a high speed peeling force at a speed zone of 10000 mm/minute is 2.5 times or less of the low speed peeling force.
