The present invention prevents the oil pressure in a first engagement unit and the oil pressure in a second engagement unit from interfering with each other even when the operation of the first engagement unit and the operation of the second engagement unit coincide with each other. A drive device for a vehicle is provided with a first engagement unit which selectively drives a rotary electric machine and connects the rotary electric machine to an internal combustion engine, and a fluid coupling. The first engagement unit is provided with a first friction member, a first piston, and a first oil chamber which houses the first friction member and is formed so as to cause the back pressure in the first piston to act, and the fluid coupling is provided with, in a main body housing chamber, a second oil chamber for controlling the engagement state of a second engagement unit for directly connecting a coupling input-side member and a coupling output-side member, and is provided with a first oil pressure control valve for controlling the oil pressure in the first oil chamber, and a second oil pressure control valve for controlling the oil pressure in the second oil chamber independently of the first oil pressure control valve. |
