The unit (1) has a gear stage (7) exhibiting a fixed transmission ratio, and a drive unit (5) e.g. internal combustion engine, coupled with an input stage (15) of planetary gears (13) in an output side. The gear stage is defined by an endless drive with a drive wheel (9) and an output gear (11). The gears include a set of partial planetary wheels (21, 23), and the input stage comprises a propelled sun wheel, which mesh with the planetary wheels. The planetary gears are designed as gradated twin planetary gears. Another drive unit (3) is designed as an electric motor.
