摘要 A method for imaging an object by means of photoneutron transmission comprises the steps of: photoneutron beams penetrating through an object are collimated with neutron collimator to determine position information of the photoneutron beams based on the positions of the neutrons collimation lines; collimated photoneutron beams are measured with detector module, wherein the detector module includes neutron moderator body and at least one thermal neutron detector located within the neutron moderator body, photoneutrons are converted into thermal neutrons by the neutron moderator body, and the thermal neutrons are measured with the thermal neutron detector to obtain decay information produced during photoneutron beams penetration through the object; the position information and the decay information are synthesized to form images of corresponding parts of the object. The method determines position information of the photoneutron beams based on the positions of neutron collimator, thus overcoming the problem of being unable to image caused by position information loss due to the moderation of photoneutron. The method also images an object by providing detector module array.
