<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To promptly identify a moving locus of a vehicle with higher accuracy and to calculate traffic information in a road section to be monitored in real time. <P>SOLUTION: A baseline band video monitoring system includes baseline band preprocessing means configured to perform preprocessing on an image of a view field to be monitored captured by an imaging apparatus, thereby acquiring one or more baseline bands, feature point extraction means configured to perform feature point extraction on a moving object within the baseline band, thereby acquiring a binarized contour of the moving object present in any one of the one or more baseline bands and a feature pixel point, and moving object identification means configured to collate the binarized contour of the moving object in the baseline band and the feature pixel point between a plurality of images, thereby identifying and detecting the moving object. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
