<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processor, an information processing method, a program, and an imaging apparatus enabling a composite image of panoramic images etc. to be generated with operational ease. <P>SOLUTION: The information processor comprises: a calculation part for calculating the display range 51 of an input image 50; a setting part for setting a containing range 61 containing at least a part of the calculated display range 51; a retrieval part for retrieving an image to be composed 70 related with the input image 50; a disposition part for disposing the retrieved image to be composed 70 in the containing range 61; a determination part for determining an area in which the image to be composed 70 is not disposed, within the containing range 61, as an area short of images; and a notification part for notifying a user of information on the determined area short of images.
