<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a treatment liquid in which impurities such as paper powder are mixed in association with coating application, is returned to a liquid chamber and causes an uneven coating when the treatment liquid is re-fed. <P>SOLUTION: In an image forming apparatus, when an impurity sensor 261 detects the paper powder 401 in the proximity of the bottom of the liquid chamber 234, a switch valve 303 is switched on a side of a collection container 302 to communicate a feed collection route 204 with a collection route 311 and a pump 203 is driven to reversely rotate so as to discharge the paper powder 401 in the liquid chamber 234 together with the treatment liquid 201 from the collection route 311 to the collection container 302, after completion of the coating application. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
