<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent communication devices 10c and 10d other than a communication device 10a from uselessly consuming electric power in a communication network. <P>SOLUTION: In a communication network, when an ID detection control circuit 45 of a communication device 10a determines the reception of the ID of the communication device 10a as a communication signal from a communication device 10b, the ID detection control circuit 45 outputs a wake-up signal to a main control circuit 20, which places the main control circuit 20 into an active mode. In the communication network, communication devices 10c and 10d other than the communication device 10a that receives the ID of the communication device 10a do not wake up when receiving the ID of the communication device 10a.
