<p>A method of producing alkyl phosphonic acid or an aralkyl phosphonic acid represented by general formula (2), characterized by involving a step of adding water dropwise to produce a hydrolysis reaction in an alkyl phosphonic acid alkyl ester or aralkyl phosphonic acid alkyl ester represented by general formula (1) while maintaining the same in a temperature range of 120-200°C in the presence of an non-volatile acid; a method for producing an alkyl phosphonic acid amine salt or an aralkyl phosphonic acid amine salt, or, an alkyl phosphonic acid alkali metal salt or an aralkyl phosphonic acid alkali metal salt, characterized by involving a step (B) or (C) in which, following the aforementioned step (A), an amine or alkali metal hydroxide is added; and a method of producing an alkyl phosphonic acid metal salt or an aralkyl phosphonic acid metal salt, characterized by involving a step (D) in which, following the aforementioned step (C), a metal chloride of a metal other than alkali metals is added, causing a salt exchange reaction. Therein, R1 in general formulae (1) and (2) represents an alkyl group of 1 to 20 carbon atoms that is unsubstituted or has a substitutuent, or, an aralkyl group of 7 to 20 carbon atoms that is unsubstituted or has a substitutuent, R2 and R3 are independently an alkyl group of 1-8 carbon atoms or a hydrogen atom, and at least one of R2 and R3 is the aforementioned alkyl group of 1-8 carbon atoms.</p> |
