A method and system for obtaining network connection information by utilizing LLDP. The method includes: a bearer network edge node device receives an LLDP message sent by an off-net service network element, with the LLDP message carrying first address information about a first service network element accessing the bearer network and second address information about a second service network element connected with the output end of the bearer network and corresponding to the first service network element; the bearer network edge node device reports the first address information and the second address information to a network management system, and the network management system obtains a service affiliation relationship between the first service network element and the second service network element according to the correspondence between the first address information and the second address information. In the embodiments of the present invention, by way of the extension of LLDP, the bearer network side can automatically obtain the service affiliation information between the network element device accessing the bearer network and the network element device connected with the output end of the bearer network.
