PURPOSE: A method for transmitting and reproducing streaming data is provided to transmit the divided streaming data by dividing the streaming data into a plurality of sections. CONSTITUTION: A streaming server creates streaming data by dividing video data requested by a reception terminal into a plurality of sections. The streaming server transmits the created streaming data to the reception terminal. The reception terminal receives the streaming data. The reception terminal decodes the received streaming data. The reception terminal stores the decoded video data in a memory unit according to each section.
