<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clock mechanism of a wristwatch which is free of remarkable energy loss of a hammer, and prevents the hammer from bouncing back to a gong after striking. <P>SOLUTION: A clock mechanism 1 of a wristwatch includes a gong 2, a hammer 4, a counter spring 5 for vibration control which holds the hammer apart from the gong in an idle mode, and a driving spring 6 for the hammer. The clock mechanism includes a lock device provided with at least one rotary bolt 8. When the driving spring is wound up, a hook 28 of a first arm 8 of the bolt can be moved away from the hammer, and a terminal part of the bolt spring 7 presses a second arm 8b of the bolt in away from a periphery of the hammer. The lock device is configured to lock the hammer in a strike mode after a single strike of the hammer toward the gong. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
