<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite material sufficiently satisfying required performance such as high heat resistance, transparency and mechanical properties, exhibiting only small deformation amounts by heat and moisture absorption, and having good cycle property. <P>SOLUTION: The composite material includes a nonwoven fabric or woven fabric composed of a synthetic fiber, and a polymerizable resin composition, wherein the polymerizable resin composition contains a silicone resin represented by formula (1): [R<SP POS="POST">1</SP>SiO<SB POS="POST">3/2</SB>]<SB POS="POST">n</SB>-m[R<SP POS="POST">2</SP><SB POS="POST">2</SB>R<SP POS="POST">3</SP>SiO<SB POS="POST">1/2</SB>], wherein R<SP POS="POST">1</SP>is a 1-12C hydrocarbon group; n is 8, 10 or 12; R<SP POS="POST">2</SP>is a methyl group or a phenyl group; R<SP POS="POST">3</SP>is an organic functional group having a vinyl group or a (meth)acryloxypropyl group; and m is an integer of 0 to 4.
