<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a receiver which enables a user to view a program to the end without intention, when the start of viewing a video-on-demand content equal to the program being broadcasted is restricted to only in a period in which the program is on air. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus is provided with missed program viewing service reception means for receiving a missed program viewing service which allows starting of the reproduction of the content corresponding to the program from a system other than broadcasting as long as the broadcasting period of the program is not finished. During reception of the missed program viewing service, the finish time of the broadcasting of the program is stored. When the program being broadcasted reaches the finish time of the broadcasting or reaches vicinity of the finish time, if stop of the reception was requested during the reception of the missed program viewing service, the user receives an inquiry about whether to really stop the reception, and the reception is kept or stopped according to an instruction given in response to the inquiry. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
