<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lower rolling wheel for a crawler type traveling vehicle which enables life of parts to be extended by protecting a welded portion of rolling wheel segments with a simple structure, and to provide a method of manufacturing the same. <P>SOLUTION: The lower rolling wheel 1 includes: a shaft 2; a roller assembly body 3 mounted on the shaft 2 rotatably; and bearing parts 16, 17, which rotates the roller assembly body 3 relatively to the shaft 2. The roller assembly body 3 has first/second rolling wheel segments 11, 12, the welded portion 15, a ring member 4, and a step difference 3a. The first/second rolling wheel segments 11, 12 become components of an approximately cylindrical shape by jointing ends 11b, 12b with each other in the axial direction.
