[Problem] To provide copper foil for graphene production which is capable of producing graphene having a large surface area at a low cost, and a graphene production method using the copper foil. [Solution] A copper foil for graphene production has a 60º glossiness of at least 500% both in the direction parallel to the direction of rolling and the direction orthogonal to the direction of rolling, and has an average crystal grain diameter of at least 200 µm after being heated for one hour at 1000°C in an atmosphere containing at least 20% hydrogen by volume with the remainder being argon.
