VEHICLE DOOR AND METHOD FOR MOUNTING A WINDOW GLASS IN A VEHICLE DOOR

The invention relates to a guide rail 7 intended to facilitate mounting of a window glass 4 in a vehicle door frame 2. The guide rail 7 is mounted in a vehicle door 1 comprising a frame 2 defining a hole 3 for mounting of a window glass 4 therein and a lower part 11 intended to be covered by plates. The frame 2 has an upper part 2a, and a lower part 2b, a front part 2c and a rear part 2d provided with respective slots 5a, 5b, 5c and 5d for fitting of the respective edges 6a, 6b, 6c and 6d of the window glass 4 therein. The rail 7 is mounted in the lower part 13 of the door and is mounted so as to guide one edge 6a, 6b, 6c or 6d of the window glass 4 when it is lowered or raised during mounting of the same. The rail 7 is provided with a stop indication 8 for indicating that a repositioning or rotation of the window glass 4 shall be made during mounting of the window glass 4. The invention also relates to a method for mounting of a window glass 4 in a vehicle door frame 2 by the aid of a guiding rail 7.
