<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device capable of simply diagnosing a fault on the side of a user, even when the built-in storage device of equipment has a fault. <P>SOLUTION: In a normal operation state, a microcomputer 16 controls a signal path switching mechanism 12, to connect a signal processing device to a hard disc drive (HDD) 14. In an abnormal operation state, the microcomputer 16 makes a USB interface device 18 valid and controls the signal path switching mechanism 12, to connect the USB interface device 18 to the hard disc drive (HDD) 14 and allow an external personal computer to recognize the hard disc drive (HDD) 14 as USB mass storage. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
