<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a planetary gear device for a vehicle power transmission device, which can suppress vibrations of a carrier, wherein a carrier is fixed to a case so as not to be rotatable in a circumferential direction. <P>SOLUTION: In the planetary gear device for a vehicle power transmission device, a second boss 58a of a second carrier CA2 is engaged with a cylindrical inner peripheral surface 60 of the case 16, and also a plurality of engagement teeth 58c-58f formed biasedly toward part of an outer periphery of the second carrier CA2 are respectively engaged with a plurality of engagement grooves 62 of the case 16, so that the second carrier CA2 is fixed to the case 16 so as not to be movable in a radial direction nor rotatable in a circumferential direction. The second carrier CA2 includes an engagement protrusion 58g protruded radially outward from a position opposite to the first engagement tooth 58c positioned the most forward side in a direction of a rotative force that is subjected to the second carrier CA2 relative to a shaft axis C when a vehicle moves forward.
