摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid ejecting apparatus which can quickly resume ejection without causing position deviation when resuming the ejection of a liquid from a state where an ejection nozzle is sealed, and has a simple structure. <P>SOLUTION: A sealing member 42 for sealing the ejection nozzle by abutting on the nozzle surface of an ejection head 32 is interposed between the ejection head and a medium to be ejected, which allows switching between the state where the ejection nozzle is sealed and the state where the ejection nozzle can eject a liquid towards the medium to be ejected by moving the sealing member. Thus, since it is not necessary to move the ejection head from its original position (position where a liquid is ejected) while allowing the sealing of the ejection nozzle, the position deviation of the ejection head when resuming the ejection of a liquid can be avoided; and the structure of the liquid ejection apparatus can be simplified; further; it is possible to quickly resume the ejection of a liquid. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
