<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a massager in which a detecting means for detecting the position of a massage means is protected from contact and collision with a casing etc. <P>SOLUTION: The massager includes: the massage means 34 for massaging the regions of a person to be treated; a moving means 101 for moving the massage means along the regions; and a guide line 103 projecting to be extended along the movement passages of the massage means. The massage means is provided with: a slider 105 which is integrally movable with the massage means and has a recession 110 arranged over the guide line; the detecting means 102 arranged in the guide line or the slider; and a to-be-detected means 104 arranged in the slider or the guide line and detected by the detecting means.
